Today I observed Dr. Rios Grammar class. It was interesting to see his teaching style and learn how to go about teaching grammar. Ensuring that higher-level students understand grammar rules by pointing out the main points in each lesson seemed to work for the students. Also, every step of the way he made sure the students were involved from having them read the example sentences to getting into groups to write their own examples.
I didn't have Dr. Rios for any of my three observations. But I did grammar observation and Dr. Pollock was energetic and speedy with the lesson. There was no group work, instead all students were called at some points of the lecture as they covered phrasal verbs.
