    Just a good conversation practice then? Speaking about pandemic brings in new vocabulary of lesser frequency, even technical words. But as they say, the world will be different because of the virus and what needs to be taught to ESL learners . This shouldn't surprise, as two of the classes I observed covered plagiarism in a western sense, showing how much more there is to language learning than just language.

CP 10/9/20

Today I met with Marcia. She talked about how she is working on her applications for different graduate schools. She talked about how she applied to some schools in South Korea and other schools in Canada. She mentioned how it is exhausting to work on all these applications. I then started discussing with her how I always wanted to have a deep southern accent. She was shocked to hear this since she has always tried to overcome her accent in English. I talked to her about how it makes you sound different and adds diversity. After that, we ended up talking about the TEFL internship program and how she thinks Dr. Rios is a really good teacher. She thinks that his ability to understand where the students are coming from really makes him an effective teacher.
